Its getting real today......everything hurts....and havent ridden yet. BUT I WILL...
Bike stickers arrived today - and spoke lights....going to be fun. Thank you for all your support. Going to need it xxx
Thank you all so much for donating - I can see all your donations and will reply to you all. So appreciated. I can say when I was diagnosed with cancer, I couldnt believe it - like it was someone else. I start my treatment next week - yes delayed a week in order to do this ride. They wouldnt let me do it with a line in....something about stitches. Oh well. Wish me luck on what will be the hardest ride ever. Yes I have ridden many thousands of miles across the world but never with two false knees and breast cancer - wish me luck
🚴‍♀️ Pedaling through adversity, fuelled by hope 🚴‍♀️
It's been a journey of resilience—a journey marked by challenges, setbacks, and unexpected twists. Just when I thought I'd faced my fair share of hurdles with two knee surgeries and weeks spent battling in hospital, life threw another curveball: a diagnosis of breast cancer in January.
But amidst the chaos and uncertainty, one thing remains steadfast: my determination to make a difference. And that's why, despite the odds, I'm still pushing forward with the Women V Cancer Ride the Night.(booked before all this chaos) It's a testament to the unwavering spirit that drives me, and to the countless women like me who refuse to let cancer define us.
In the midst of my own battle, I've been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from women just like you—women who understand the weight of this diagnosis, and the importance of standing together in solidarity. Because, let's face it, cancer doesn't discriminate—it touches the lives of mothers, daughters, sisters, and friends without mercy.
That's why I'm calling on you to join me in this fight. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of those facing cancer. By supporting Breast Cancer Now, Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust, and Ovarian Cancer Action, we're not just funding research and treatment—we're providing a lifeline to those in need.
My own journey with immunology treatment has opened my eyes to the incredible advancements in cancer care, but it's also shown me just how much more we need to do. Cancer rates are soaring, and it's going to take all of us, united in purpose, to turn the tide.
So please, stand with me. Your donation isn't just a contribution—it's a beacon of hope for a brighter, cancer-free future. Let's ride together, not just for ourselves, but for every woman who's ever faced the daunting journey of cancer.
Thank you for your unwavering support. Together, we can pedal towards a world where cancer is nothing more than a distant memory. 🎗️
